Routesetting
The setters build in natural features such as aretes and laybacks and use lots of different sized and shaped volumes to keep climbers interested, aiming for a spread from easier beginner problems to harder ones for experienced climbers.
- Reset frequency
- fortnightly
- Schedule
- Set every two weeks on alternating Fridays, 9.30am until 4.30pm, alternating between the two bouldering rooms (Rob's Room and the Comp Room), left and right sides in turn
How they grade
Setters propose an initial grade, routes are tested internally before the grade is confirmed, and climber feedback left in notebooks is reviewed after a short trial period so grades can be adjusted.
