Disclaimers & legal
Climbing is dangerous
Rock climbing, bouldering and hill walking are activities with a danger of personal injury or death. Information on this site — including grades, gear notes, approach descriptions, access notes and conditions estimates — is provided in good faith but without warranty of any kind. You are responsible for your own safety: verify conditions, access and equipment yourself, and climb within your own ability and judgement.
Conditions estimates are advisory
"Is it dry?" verdicts are model estimates computed from nearby weather-station and forecast-model data. They are not observations from the crag. Rock can be wet when we say dry and dry when we say wet. Never rely on them as your only check — especially for sea cliffs (tides), mountain crags and soft sandstone.
Access
Access to crags changes: seasonal bird restrictions, landowner agreements and closures are common. Always check the BMC Regional Access Database before you travel, and follow it over anything written here.
