Sandstone Faces S bouldering 2a to 6b
A sunny, south-facing sandstone escarpment in the grounds of the Bowles outdoor centre near Eridge. The cleanest and quickest-drying of the southern sandstone crags, with well-maintained faces, cracks and aretes that suit beginners and technicians alike. Like all Wealden sandstone it is soft and must be treated gently and never climbed wet.
Soft sandstone — never climb here when the rock is wet or damp. Wet sandstone is permanently damaged by climbing.

Access & approach
Privately owned by the Bowles Rocks Trust; climbers welcome for a small day fee - pay at the centre. Top-roping and soloing only, no wet-rock climbing, use the fixed anchors.
